The JIAN Group is
pleased to announce the appointment of Fenton N. Hord as Chairman of the Board. Mr. Hord's legacy in the building material industry
is unprecedented. His retirement from
Stock Building Supply after his 20 years became effective August 1, 2007. Mr. Hord joined Stock Building Supply, then
Carolina Builders Corporation in 1987 as President and Chief Executive Officer. He served as an Executive Director of
Wolseley, plc from October 2000 to July 2007.
Mr. Hord shepherded Stock's growth from seven yards in North Carolina with sales of $113 million to
310 locations in 34 states with $5.3 billion in sales in 2006. Mr. Hord has served on many boards and

A Richmond, Virginia
native, Mr. Hord worked for Richmond
based Eskimo Pie Corporation from 1967 to 1987, the last nine years as
President and Chief Operating Officer. He graduated in 1970 from the University of
Richmond with a B.C. in Business Administration. In 1974 he achieved his M.S. in Business
Administration/Marketing from Virginia
Commonwealth University. Mr. Hord has been married for thirty-nine
years to Patricia and is a proud grandfather.
